It was a moment of revelation for me realizing The Lion of Judah displayed the same traits as this caged carnivore. When the Lion of Judah roars, He takes authority over what is rightfully His. It was His voice echoing “enough” that caused my wandering to cease. He is a relentless pursuer of His offspring and He hunted me down to the depths of darkness and with one swift swipe, He hurled me into His marvelous light then protected me with His righteous anger. He is the king adorned in majesty and one day He will return and take dominion over all His territory. The thing that astonishes me the most is… this fierce lion that rescued me is the same big cuddly cat where I lay my weary head, resting in His peace and soaking in His glory.
The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion,
But his favor is like dew on the grass. Proverbs 19:12
