Before He left this earth to take His place in heaven, He promised the disciples a gift from on high. Once the disciples received the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, they were empowered to set out and perform similar miraculous acts as Jesus. As believers we have been born-again by His supernatural power though we continue to live in the natural world. The same supernatural power the disciples received is within us and empowers us to do even greater things. As we walk in the Spirit we have an ongoing supernatural encounter with God and the empowerment becomes our normal natural.
Some are weary to embrace the supernatural power of God in fear of falling into the counterfeit of the enemy. However to disregard our supernatural empowerment is exactly where Satan would have us. Spiritual gifts are what God uses to defeat the enemy and if Satan can convince you to disregard your weapons … he’s gained a foothold.
Of course not all miracles come from God and the enemy along with his fallen angels are a part of the supernatural realm. With them come signs and wonders as well as false prophets. That doesn’t mean we are to throw the super out of the natural, but that we should use our discernment to test the spirit and know what is of God. Don’t let fear of the supernatural leave you stranded in a dry barren desert when you can have abundant life through our supernatural God.
